Parcel Details

When this tool is open, a pop-up with property, owner, and community information will appear when a parcel is clicked.

Also provided is access to a switch that when activated gives additional information about the environmental characteristics of a designated parcel when clicked on in the map view.

To activate this tool, flip the "Enable/Disable Parcel Details" switch  and click on a parcel within the map. A blue magnifying glass will appear on the chosen parcel, and owner information will be viewable in the Parcel Details panel on the right. Click on the "Save/Print Report" icon to view the data in a printable pdf. This report will include the percentage and acreage of the existing DEC and NWI wetlands, floodplain, and soil data in tabular form.

On each of the Wetland, Floodplain, and Soils tabs, the user can locate different environmental features present in each parcel. Choose the type of feature to view by selecting the Wetlands, Floodplains, or Soils tab, and then click on the cross-hair icon:  . The feature will become highlighted to make the area visible, and the map will zoom to that feature.

To clear the highlighted feature, click on the "Clear Highlight" text in the upper right each of the parcel details frames.

Clicking on the Wetland tab gives information on the area and percentage of area that wetland occupies in the parcel.

Clicking on the Floodplain tab gives information on the area and percentage of area that is designated as floodplain (in this case, the entire parcel exists in a floodplain).

Clicking on the Soils tab gives information on the types, area and percentage of soils are present in the parcel. (in this case, Wd is selected. As you can see from the exportable data below, this soil class takes up the majority of the parcel).
