Elevation Profile
The Elevation Profile tool is used to create a two dimensional representation of the elevation characteristics along a drawn line. It is accessed by selecting the Elevation Profile tab in the Tools page and activating the profiler tool on the upper left side of the map:

To draw a line, hold down the mouse button to draw a free-form line, or click just at the start and end for a straight line. Double click to end the line. View the results in the contents panel on the left. Note: this tool can consume a lot of data, but results can be exceedingly slow if a line is drawn across a wide area. For quickest results, zoom in to the area of interest and then draw the line.

To deactivate the tool, click the elevation profile map tool so that it turns white again.
